Langkawi this May 27 to 2, 2016 because Langkawi Development Authority (LADA)
will host of the fifth Langkawi International Laksa Carnival (LILAC).
This event was aimed to share the significant taste of local
comestible that can be found in Langkawi compared to other states in Malaysia.
With theme ‘I Love Laksa’ this year, LILAC 2016 will
highlight the variety of authentic laksa as well as delicious and scrumptious traditional
dessert offered from different states in Malaysia and Asia.
For this year LILAC will offer various types of local and
international Laksa including rice noodles from Korea, Phillipines, China,
Thailand and Indonesia to be enjoyed by all.
So, you also have the opportunity to participate in various
competitions organized with prizes worth more than RM50,000.
Complementing the essence of this year carnival will be
enlivened by four celebrity chefs which is Chef Joe of Master Chef Malaysia,
Dato’ Dr Fazley of MasterChef Celebrity Chef, Shiela Rusly of Celebrioty Chef
and Sarah Benjamin of Celebrity Chef / Asian Food Channel (AFC) Talent Chef.
There are many other activities during LILAC such as sales
and exhibition, laksa cooking contests, arts performances and etc.
A special appearance of Upin & Ipin and The Tarik King
Malaysia, Mr Fakir, will also present to enlighten the atmosphere throughout
the three-day carnival.
Don’t missed the one and only gastronomic event that gathers
and celebrate the different types of Laksa available in Malaysia and Asia.
Besides the carnival, Langkawi still offers countless
restaurant and cafes to suit the tourists’ taste buds.
